The student of self realization has to wade through
an unending marsh of senses and mind before he/she can reach the causal layer
or body of intelligence.
As has been mentioned somewhere before the gross
body is made up of five material elements namely the earth, the water, the
fire, the air and the ether.
The astral and causal body are made up only of
ether. However all these are in the material plane. In the gross body the main
transformer is the brain.
Brain looks like a lump of tissue made up of the
other four tangible elements namely earth, water, fire and air but it is
actually controlled and regulated by ether through mind, senses and
intelligence.
It is another matter that the messages from the astral and causal
bodies percolate down the brain to the other chakras namely throat, heart,
belly and the spine. This is how the brain controls the gross body.
