This shows that each one has a different thought and they will be judged accordingly. Everyone is addicted to his/her ideas and lives in a world of his/her own. This shows that you are what your thoughts make you to be.

The the monk will think about god and work accordingly, the scientist will do experiments in his/her lab, the poet will use his/her imagination to create, and the thief will plan a job.

From intelligence the idea goes to the mind in the subtle body. The mind in turn transfers the same to the senses who transform them as feelings and finally give vent to the original idea through the gross body.

A monk, a scientist, a poet, a musician, and a thief will certainly not think alike. Each has different thoughts, ideas, interests, addictions etc.

As said before the soul gets a body according to the karma of the living entity in the past lives. Hence the causal body with its intelligence will think only as its nature based on its past karma dictates.

A thought actually germinates at the intelligence level. Intelligence is from the causal body. The causal body is the first layer that envelops the soul and the super soul.

However this all boils down to the saying of Swami Vivekanada ‘’You are judged by your thoughts’…. which is indeed a fact.

When he/she uses the soul as the main source of his/her endeavor, the development of the causal, subtle and gross bodies becomes just a byproduct. Remember that all three layers being causal/subtle and gross bodies are material and transient. First the gross, then the subtle and finally the causal body will wither away after death. Before this finally happens one should realize the self and reach the spiritual world.

Once the feelings are ready they are further relayed to the gross body which is the final instrument to give went to the feelings. This gross body is made up of ether, air, fire, water and earth.

The living entity is free to use this world as a gymnasium to make a robust, strong, healthy, and beautiful gross body. On the other hand he/she can concentrate on the subtle body, causal body or the soul.

Based on the living entity’s discretion, the idea is chewed upon by the mind and then transferred to the senses. 

There are five types of senses- taste, touch, smell, hear, and sight.

Now just like the causal body is meant for ideas, the subtle body is meant for feelings. When the senses take hold of the properly masticated ideas from the mind, they react according to their capacity, capability, understanding and talent.

The soul and the super soul are enveloped by three layers of the body:

The first layer is called causal body- Intelligence – ideas germinate here.

The second is called subtle body. This is divided into two sections. The upper one is called Mind. This is the main part where the sixth sense ie. the instinct is situated. The only people in this material world who have this sixth sense are the humans.

The intelligence relays its ideas to this mind.

This world according to Swami Vivekananda is actually a gymnasium to make you strong. It depends entirely on you to make full use of it according to your idea and your extent of addiction to that idea.

Remember there is no better teacher than one’s own soul. Every soul knows the living entity that embodies it perfectly. Actually it was the soul which selected the type of cocoon that envelops it now in the form of a body. This causal/subtle/gross body is because of the past karma of the living entity.

Once this idea takes a form, one should slowly but surely get addicted to the idea and start living it. Every pore of the soul, causal body, subtle body and the gross body should be illuminated by this idea.

This all fructified because of an idea in the intelligence of the individual, gradually, deliberately or due to circumstances based on one’s past karma. This idea took a proper shape on the mind level and then was relayed to the senses which used the gross body to put this idea into effect.

There is something called getting addicted. In this material world every living entity feels safe and happy to be in some rut which provides him/her the required safety. Some are happy as engineers, some doctors, some lawyers, housewives, employees, workers etc.

One’s spiritual journey towards self realization begins there. This journey after several twists and turns lands the living entity to the pedestal on reaching which he/she realizes that he/she is but a spark of the original fire, that is the soul is just a fraction of the spiritual whole. This ultimate identification is called super ego.

One should not stop till one reaches that stage.

The ultimate goal for all living entities is to realize god. That is called liberation. This begins when one stops identifying with one’s body (false ego) and starts accepting that he/she is actually a soul (ego) trapped into a body according to one’s past karma.

We all feel safe in a rut that has been created around us thanks to our karma, thoughts and ideas. We feel happy to be addicted to what we do.

When one looks within, one enters a universe of its own. 

Remember we all live in a world created by our feelings and thoughts. A collection of these makes one universe.

Remember, what others have and do, we also have and can do. The only difference is that those qualities, thoughts, talents etc. are dormant in us thanks to our own endeavor and determination or lack of it.

As soon as the devotee begins identifying with the soul, he/she reaches the ego stage.

Finally the devotee would start remembering that he/she is only a spark from the real fire, that he/she is just a soul which is part of the spiritual whole that is super soul. The moment the devotee reaches this stage he/she is firmly situated in the super ego.

From now on the devotee can meditate on god and his/her own eternal relationship with god.

The next step takes the devotee to the spiritual side within. The devotee may meditate on the self that is the soul. All sorts of material feelings and ideas have been left behind and now the devotee is poised to take a trip down the unending spiritual journey which helps the devotee to transcend both time and space and reach different planets, and times.
