Self Realisation

Remember that the self realized soul, is not delighted even when he is delighted. He is not affected even when he is affected. The self realized soul can be understood only by one who is self realized himself.

Remember that the self realized soul knows that he is all pervading, formless, immutable, untainted self.

Remember that the fool is perturbed within even when he is not doing anything. But the self realized soul is calm even when he is doing something.

Remember that the self realized soul lives, acts, eats, drinks, sleeps, and remains ever happy even in the material world.

Self Realization

Remember that through freedom, one attains happiness, repose, and the highest state of supreme happiness.

Remember that all the modifications of the mind are destroyed in the one who realizes the self as neither the doer nor the enjoyer.

Remember that the conduct of the wise one is devoid of any form of pretense unlike the superficial calm of the fool whose mind is attached to the material world.

Remember that the wise man, whose mind has stopped imagining, and who is free from the bondage of his intellect, sometimes enjoys the pleasures of the material life and sometimes retires to the caves in the mountains.

Remember that the wise and liberated one is not perturbed even when he is scoffed at by everyone.

Self Realization

Remember that when one encounters the tigers of sense objects, he gets frightened and enters the cave of the mind for control and concentration.

Remember that when the same tigers of sense objects encounter a lion of desirelessness, they either run away or they serve him like obedient slaves.

Remember that he who is free fom doubts and has his mind identified completely with the self, never practices mind control as a means to liberation. Instead he lives like a common man, seeing, touching, sensing, feeling, tasting, smelling, and eating and is a happy man.

Remember that the wise man, having established his intellect firmly in the self, by merely listening to the real, never bothers about what is proper and what is improper, and what is action and what is inaction.

Remember that the wise man is just like an small child which does what comes to it on its own.

Monday, December 20, 2010

Self Realization

Remember that the one who desires to see the manifested world will not see the immutable self.

Remember that the fool strives for the control of the self but never attains it. whereas the wise man who revels in the self gets it spontaneously and perennially.

Remember that some think that the universe exists others think that it doesn not exist. It is the rare entity who thinks neither.

Remember that the person with dull intellect meditates upon the atman as pure and one without a second. But this person is always deluded and remains unhappy throughout his life because he does not realize it.

Remember that the intellect of one who aspires for liberation can not work without a support. But the desireless intellect is for ever free and without any support.

Self Realization

Remember that a highly unintelligent person never attains the self through repeated practices of controlling his mind, whereas the wise man remains liberated and immutable through mere intuitive enlightenment.

Remember that the fool never attains brahman because he wants to become brahman, whereas the wise one certainly realizes the nature of the suprme brahman even withuot desiring to do so.

Remember that without any support and eager for the attainment of freedom, the fools only keep up the world. The wise cut at the very root of this world which is the source of all misery.

Remember that the fools want to get peace through control of their mind whereas the wise men, knowing the truth, are for ever tranquil in mind.

Friday, December 17, 2010

Self Realization

Remember that the mind of the liberated one does not indulge either in meditation or in any activity. In fact it gets into meditation or activity without any motive and, spontaneously.

Remember that an unintelligent person gets confused on hearing about the real truth, but an intelligent person withdraws himself within himself and lives like a fool.

Remember that the fools constantly practice concentration and control of mind whereas the intelligent person, abiding in his own self, lives like a person in deep sleep and does not find anything worth attaining.

Remember that the fool does not attain any tranquility by action or inaction whereas the wise man attains it by merely knowing the truth.

Remember that those who indulge in diverse activities do not realize the self which is pure, enlightened, beloved, perfect, transcendental and stainless.

Self Realization

Remember that since the wise one does not have any agitation, and does not practice any meditation, he is neither an aspirant for liberation nor is he in any form of bondage. As he knows that the whole universe is a figment of his imagination, even though he sees it, he exists in the brahmnan itself.

Remember that any one who has the ego sense within himself, acts mentally though not physically. But the wise man who has no ego does not act mentally even though he seems to act physically.

Remember that the mind of the liberated is neither troubled nor pleased. It is actionless, free from fluctuations, desireless and purged of all doubts.

Remember that the wise man acts but does not justify his actions through reasoning. That does not mean that he is a fool.In fact he is forever blissful, and happy.

Remember that the wise man withdraws himself from all forms of material reasoning and logic. Thus he neither sees, nor hears, nor tastes nor speaks.

Remember that desire is the root of all samsara.

Remember that in the begining there is an attraction towards sense objects, from attraction sprouts desire, from desire a sense of fear of losing the sense objects, from fear comes anger, from anger sprouts delusion and delusion is the root cause of false ego. And when one develops false ego he goes down in life.

Remember that a detached man is free from happiness and sorrow.

Self Realization

Remember that whatever the scriptures or the holy texts say, when you want to get established in the self you should forget all of it.

Remember that just like the seeker of foodgrains throws away the husk after  he has received the grains, similarly the seeker of self should throw away all the knowledge that leads him to the self.

Remember that every thing whether material, physical, or mental gets extinguhished at the stage where the seeker achieves the self.

Remember that through this instruction alone you will seek liberation.

Remember that it is anxiety that is the root of all sorrows.

Remember that bondage arises from mine-ness, and liberation from detachment.

Friday, October 22, 2010

Remember that you should renounce Kama that is the desire which is an enemy, Artha that is wealth which is the root of all mischief, and Dharma that is performance of good deeds, which is the cause of the other two, and develop indifference to everything.

Remember that everything in the material world is temperory and like a magic show.

Remember that this world is born out of desire, and so you should avoid desire at any cost.

Remember that desire is the cause of all bondage. Only by non attachment can one attain self realization.

Remember that in this wilderness of the world, the mind does not find any repose in wealth, desires and pious deeds.

Thursday, October 21, 2010

Self Realization

Remember that it is a rare blessed soul which ceases to have a passion for life, a desire to enjoy, and a hunger to learn after observing the ways of men.

Remember that the pairs of opposites have been exisiting for time immemorial. So cease to worry about them and become free.

Remember that the end of joy is sorrow and the end of sorrow is joy. So stop bothering about the two and become renounced.

Remember that the one who apprehends the true nature of pure consciousness, develops complete indifference to this material world, and develops an equainimity. Thus through logical reasoning he escapes this cycle of birth and death and becomes a true spiritual guide.

Self Realization

Remember that the self is not an object nor is any object in the self. The self is infinite and taintless. The self is desireless and tranquil.

Remember that you are pure consciousness and the world is a magic show. So the subject of attachment or detachment towards this world does not arise.

Remember that when the mind desires or grieves for something, accepts or rejects something, Feels happy or angry about something, that is indeed the bondage of the mind.

Remember that the ultimate freedom is attained only when the mind is free from this bondage.

Remember that thought rejection is freedom and thought assertion is bondage.

Remember that when you enter the state of Laya, you become perfect and are not affected by pain and pleasure, hope and disapointment and life and death.

Remember that you are infinite like the space and this phenomenal world is like a limited jar.

Remember that you are like the ocean and the universe is like a wave. So for you there is nothing to be renounced or accepted or created or destroyed.

Sunday, October 17, 2010

Self Realization

Remember that when your mind is free from all passions, when you are beyond all pairs of opposites, and when you are free from all desires, objects of enjoyment which reach you unexpectedly, will cause eneither pain nor pleassure to you.

Tuesday, October 12, 2010

Self Realization

Remember that when you begin to sincerely aspire for liberation, when you get detached from the pleasures of this world and the next, when you are able to differentiate between the eternal from the ephemeral, you would stop fearing about the dissolution of this body.

Remember that when as a wise person you begin seeing the supreme self all the time, you will neither be happy nor distressed when you are feted and feasted or tormented.

Remember that an enlightened soul watches the performance of his own body as if it belongs to some one else. As such he would not be perturbed by praise or blame.

Remember that a man of poised intellect realizes that this universe is merely an illusion. He loses all zest for life and such a person does not fear loss of life.

Self Realization

Sunday, October 10, 2010

Self Realization

Remember that when you do not find any duality in the midst of individuals, you begin to feel that you are alone in a forest. In such a case where is the question of any form of attachment?

Remember that you neither are nor have any body. You are pure consciousness. your bondage begins with your desire to live.

Remember that the whole universe is pervaded by the supreme self in its unmanifested form, but the supreme self does not dwell in this universe.

Remember that when mental storms arise in the limitless ocean of the supreme self, endless universes spring forth like waves. And then when the storms subside the universes become miniscule parts of the supreme self.

Friday, October 8, 2010

Self Realization

Remember that Knowledge, the knowable and the knower these three aspects exist in you only because of your ignorance.

Remember that when your mind is still, your desires are gone, you are free from delusion and released from sense of ego, you wake into supreme knowldege and bliss.

Remember that in the supreme infinitude of the self there is no meditator. In your heart there is no meditation. You are the supreme, blissful, immortal self.

Remember that the body and the universe are unsubstantial.  The self is pure concsiousness. And so there need not for any imagination.

Remember that this body, the notions of heaven and hell, of bondage and freedom as well as anxiety are all imaginations. When you reach the level of  pure consciousness these things cease to exist.

Wednesday, October 6, 2010

Self Realization

Remember that the universe is within you, but due to your ignorance you have misapprehended it just like one misundersantands the shine on an oyster as silver, a rope as a snake and the reflection of sunlight in a desert as an oasis due to his ignorance.

Remember that just like a pot dissolves into clay, a wave into an ocean, and a bangle into gold, the universe dissolves into the self.

Remember that even after the distruction of the universe, the self remains.

Tuesday, October 5, 2010

Self Realization

Remmber that you are taintless, serene and beyond nature. So do not be bewilderd by delusion.

Remember that you illumine your self and you illumine the whole universe. Thus the whole universe belongs to you and nothing belongs to you as well.

Remember that when you abandon the universe as well as your body, your supreme self is revealed to you.

Remember that just like the waves, foams and the bubbles are  part of the water that they spring forth from, similarly the universe is also a part of the self that it springs forth from.

Remember that just like the cloth is nothing but the bundle of thread that was transformed into cloth, this universe is also nothing but the self from which it was created.

Remember that sugar made from sugarcane juice is permeated entirely by the sugar cane juice, similarly the universe is permeated both inside as well as outside by the self which created it.

Remember that the universe appears with the ignorance of the self and dissapears with the knowledge of the self, just like a rope appears like a snake when you are ignorant and becomes a rope again after you realize the truth.

Remember that Light is your nature, you are nothing but the light. When the universe manifests, it is you alone who shine.

Remember that just like the sun illuminates the world, similarly the supreme self illuminates the whole field.

Monday, October 4, 2010

Self Realization

Remember that whatever has a form is false and whatever is formless is changeless. If you know this you will be free from endless births.

Remember that just like a mirror exists inside and outside the image, the supreme self exists inside and outside the body.

Remember that the Individual (Jiva), the Universe(Jagat) and the Lord and Creator(Ishwar) are all manifestaions of the same infinite consciousness.

Remember that just like the all pervading space exists inside and outside a jar, the supreme self exists in every atom. The all pervading Brahman exists in all beings and things.

Sunday, October 3, 2010

Self Realization

Remember that when you think that you are the reflected self you develop false ego. And this false ego makes you a victim of internal and external fluctuations. To avoid thi syou have to meditate on your self alone.

Remember that when you realize that you are bound by the rope of body consciousness, you should cut asunder this rope with the sword of knowledge of your consciousness. Then you will be blissful, and happy.

Remember that you are unattached, actionless, self effugent and taintless. Your desire to meditate is indeed your bondage. Remember that "Samadhi" means the awareness of supreme consciousness as one's own self. A river being a continuous flow of water is never halted in its flow. Thus to a  man of wisdom, there is no time when he is not aware of the self within him.And when the self is all pervading, expressing consiousness in every being and every thing, there is no samadhi.

Remember that you pervade this universe and the universe is woven only in you. By nature you are pure cosnciousness. So you should not indulge in petty mindedness.

Remember that you are eternal, changeless, dense and of profound intelligence. You are serene and unperturbed. So desire consciousness alone.

Thursday, September 30, 2010

Self Realization

Remember that as long as you are suffering from false ego, you will keeping thinking that you are the doer of all the things done by you. To be happy you should believe that you are not the doer.

Remember that when you burn down the forest of ignorance within you with the fire of certitude, you will realize that you are one pure consciousness and you will at once become happy.

Remember that you are that superconsciousness on which the whole universe is superimposed. Remember this all the time and be happy.

Remember that he who considers himself free becomes free and the one who thinks that he is bound gets bound. So always think that you are free and be happy.

Remember that the self is the witness all pervading, perfect, non dual, free consciousness. actionless, unattached, desireless and quiet. Through illusion it appears as if it is absorbed in the world.

Friday, September 17, 2010

Self Realization

Remember that when you begin to think that you are the doer, you get perplexed. But when you realize that you are not the doer, you become blissful and happy.

Remember that when you burn down the forest of ignorance with the certitude that you are not the doer, you at once become happy.

Remember that the knowledge that you gather through your intellect is material, ever changing and false. It teaches you about the cause effect relationship, and about the world of time and space. But the knowledge that you gather after you go within and recognize your original entity as the self, is permamnent, non dual and never changing.

Remember that the inetllect that takes you to the altar of your self, is serene and purified.

Remember that the knowledge that you gather with your senses, mind and intelligence is because of the consciousness that illuminates all that is around you.

Remember that consciousness-of- objects devoid of all objects is Pure consciousness ie. pure knowledge.

Self Realization

Remember that there is no harm in possessing things, but the problem arises when things begin to possess us.
Similarly if we control our body equipments and use them accordingly there is no harm. But if the body equipments begin to control us then we get into trouble.

Remember that you do not belong to any caste race or creed. Similarly you do not belong to any ashrama. You are forever the non dual ever efflugent self. You are not perceivable by the senses. You are unattached, formless and the sole witness of all that you are and all that happens within you and outside you.

Remember that virtue and vice, happiness and distress are all attributes of the mind and not of the self.

Remember that the ego in us thinks that we are the doers and the enjoyers. The self is neither the doer nor the enjoyer. And as you are the self so be ever happy and blissful.

Remember that the consciousness in you is the light that helps the equipments of the body function. This consciousness is the sole perceiver, the sole seer, and the sole witness of all that happens around the world.

Remember that the self is the only subject and that everything else belongs to the world of objects.

Thursday, September 16, 2010

Remember that the consciousness within illuminates all our experiences on the physical as well as the mental level.

Remember that though the self illuminates all our experiences, it is not a part of them just like the sun that illuminates every thing in the earth but forever remains detached from the objects it illuminates.

Remember that when through meditation, you withdraw yourself from the gross, subtle and causal bodies, you come to realize the self. At that moments all the vasanas, get burnt, dried up and fall away.

Remember that when you detach yourself from the body and abide in the consciousness, you at once become happy.

Self Realization

Remember that you are neither ether, nor air, nor fire, nor water nor earth. You are neither the gross, nor the subtle nor the causal body. You are eseential the spirit soul that is a witness to all that is happening within you and outside you. Be stationed in that spirit soul and you would attain eternal bliss, and happiness because this way you will attain god.

Remember that if you aspire for liberation you should discard objects of the sense as poison and accept truth, forgiveness, starightforwardness, kindness and cheerfulness like nectar.

Remember that mind is " incessant flow of  thoughts." The more the thought flow the more restless we become. Hence all those qualities that stop this thought flow should be cultivated and all those qualities that agitate the mind should be rejected.

Remember that objects of senses are all around us and it is very difficult for us as ordinary mortals to escape them. And as long as we are attached to these sense objects it would be impossible for us to attain liberation. The mind is so powerful that even if it is in a cave in the himalayas it has the capacity to agitate itself through its thought proecss. Hence we should always try to make this mind devoid of any thought that would would drag us back to this life of duality.

Self Realization

Remember that God has created you in his own beautiful form because he wants you to love him and go back to him.

Remember that God is as distressed by your plight as you are. And all the distress that you are going through is because you have forgotten your eternal identity as a part and parcel of the supreme personality of godhead.

Remember that you can not become Brahman-- because, you are already Brahman. You were always the blissful soul. It is your own confusion and the layers of ignorance created by that confusion, that prevent you from recognizing your true self.

Remember that all the great saints, monks, rishis, maharishis, mahatmas, and the great souls were also like you in their initial births. It is because of their perseverance, patience and perpetual search within themselves for their ultimate identity, that they reached such exalted positions.

Self Realization

Remember that neither Birth nor Death is an accident. Your are born according to your past karma. What ever you had done before was recorded by your soul and the present birth is based on your deeds, desires, achievements, thoughts, ideas, fears, and aims in the past.

As for example I was born on a particular date, time and  place in a particular family, under particular circumstances because as per my past karma, these factors were most conducive towards my journey towards the ultimate goal that is the supreme personality of Godhead. I picked up in this birth from where I had left before, and now in this birth I shall take a few steps further  towards the ultimate goal.

Remember that though God is present as the supersoul within us, he gives us all the freedom in the world to shape and live our lives as per our thoughts and desires. He acts as a mute spectator to our deeds till we ourselves take the initiative to beg him for help and guidance. God is like the loving and caring parent who allows the child to play and enjoy itself till it gets tired and cries for help. As soon as we do so he extends his hand to hold ours and then he guides us through the paths of this material world.

Self Realization

Remember that self realization means just that- "SELF" Realization. It is meant to help you realize your "self".

Remember that every one of us is a walking talking universe. There is nothing in this universe that is unavailable within you.

Remember that the best and the worst characters are avaialble within you. It is the perpetual fight between them that is called the MAHABHARATHA.

Dharmakhshetra Kurukshetra is your own body. It is not a patch of land in Haryana. Our body

Kurukshetra is known as Dharmakshetra because the soul and the supersoul are present within.
Remember that the Mahabharatha within you is a perpetual fight between the positive and negative forces within you. This war never ends and the victory of one over the other in the endless battles decides your nature, your behaviousr, your decisions etc after every battle.

Remember that there is no end to self improvement. And there is no age to begin self improvement.
