Probably the hind kick was too solid for a five year old.

then. I asked me worthy friend what had happened. In
reply he punched me.
Probably he thought that I and not the donkey had kicked
him. I had a black
eye for being genuinely sympathetic. We both returned, with
my friend walking
like a goucho.
