There is
a saying ‘One who is protected by god cannot be killed or destroyed….’’
The body
is like a chariot with senses as its horses, mind as the rein and intelligence
is the charioteer. The vital energies are the wheels, virtue and vice are the
spokes, the path which is made up of the objects of the senses, form the
road.
The ego is the rider. Anger,
hatred, jealousy, sorrow, greed, delusion, pride and thirst for life are
enemies along the road. When the rider
brings the chariot under his/her control he/she enjoys divine bliss.
