Anirandana-Synopsis
Muthu, an odd job man comes to the
police station in Chennai-India, with a strange complaint.
He says that he was drinking on a
bench of a garden when he heard shots, and screaming. However he is honest
enough to admit that he did not see anything.
Inspector Gajendran is quite
intrigued. Muthu’s statement proves correct in many ways. However
there indeed are some loopholes. He brushes these away as the statement of a drunk
man. However on hindsight he records the statement.
Ace sleuth Jacob Janardhanan however
thinks otherwise and takes Muthu’s statements seriously. And based on this when
he starts probing, his own senior ACP Nandini starts to believe that many a
time facts are indeed stranger than fiction.
The story takes the reader through
the lives of Anirudh-International music star, Ranjana- his ambitious wife,
Vandana-his daughter, and a veritable assortment of mobsters all culminating in
a cops & robbers story.
