Not only was Dhratrashtra blind but he was constantly accompanied by his wife Gandhari who deliberately tied her own eyes with a cloth lest her husband should feel inferior and deprived of eyesight.
If only Gandhari had retained her eyesight she could probably have provided proper guidance to Dhratarashtra and thus the epic war would probably not have happened.
