Shakuni remembered this slight by Bhishma of forcibly
getting
Gandhari married to Dhritarashtra. But his ire was further
aroused to a
demonic level because of one unpleasant incident.
Once the ignorant king Dhratarashtra got suspicious
of
Ganghari’s chastity and imprisoned the whole family with the
stern
instructions that they be fed the bare minimum.
Due to this inhuman torture, while rest of the
family died due to
starvation, only Gandhari and Shakuni survived.
