That was precisely the reason why lord Parasurama hated
the Ksatriyas- their arrogance & haughtiness. He refused to teach his
skills to members of the Ksatriya clan.
However he never refused to teach a
Sudra, Vaisya or Brahmin.
Karna was very well aware of this but when lord
Parasurama asked him what his caste was Karna replied tongue in cheek that he
was a Brahmin.
This irritated Lord Parasurama no end and that too
with a reason.
