Remember there is a subtle difference between other
normal physical exercises and yoga.
Even among the physical exercises there are various
forms viz.:
1 In running and athletics one concentrates on
speed/energy & stamina. These people do not concentrate on size.
2. Sumo wrestlers concentrate on bulk and strength.
3. Boxers aim for fist power, speed, stamina, tact
and brutality.
4. Martial arts teach skills, stamina, speed and
action.
5. Strong man exercises aim for brute strength,
power lifting, and size.
6. Body building is meant for muscularity and a
beautiful body.
7. Arm wrestling concentrates on the hand, biceps
and triceps.
8. Wrestling is a permutation and combination of
all.
When there are so many differences even among
physical exercises what of its difference with yoga.
Physical exercises concentrate on the gross body
and senses in the subtle body.
Yoga concentrates on the mind in the subtle body
and intelligence in the causal body.
