This greed for material things led to Acharya Dron’s
animosity with king Drupad who went to the extent of having Dhrishtadhumna as a
boon son, just to slay Acharya Dron.
Acharya Dron learnt martial arts just to use his
knowledge to teach the Kahatriyas that is the warrior class.
However because of his material greed he chose to
teach only the princes, so that he may extract material benefits from such
teaching.
