Once he has left the gross body for good, the
living entity goes to the next level inside the subtle or astral body. This
place is called the senses. The next level is the mind.
According to Swami Chinmayananda, the mind is so
powerful that it can agitate even a monk meditating in a cave.
The mind is a link between intelligence in the
causal world and the senses from the astral world. It is the main conduit
through which ideas from intelligence pass to the senses.
