The
layers of one’s body which envelop the soul and the super soul (which is a
witness of the experiences of the soul) are threefold.
The
first and immediate layer is called the causal body which is made up of
intelligence alone. This causal body transmits ideas to the subtle body.
The next
layer is called subtle body. The ideas transmitted by the causal body are
transformed into feelings in this body. This subtle body is made up of the mind
and the other five senses ie. taste, smell, touch, hear, see. Together they
give rise to what are known as feelings.
