One can
obtain the results of renunciation just by surrendering one to god
unconditionally, by becoming unattached to material things and by eschewing
sensual pleasures.
One who
is unattached, who lives in a secluded place, who eats and drinks with
moderation, who meditates on god, is always in a trance, who controls his/her
body and tongue, and who is not puffed up with false ego, false strength, false
pride, lust, anger, and material pleasures is truly in a position of self
realization.
