Those
in the mode of passion have unlimited desires and longings. Because of these
they constantly indulge in fruitive activities. Lust between man and woman is a
fair example of passion. When the mode of passion becomes too powerful one
hankers after material enjoyment. This gives birth to the desire for sense
gratification for which one wants some honor in the society, family, wife,
husband, children etc. To achieve all this one works very hard. These
activities bind one. The present world is more or less in the mode of passion.
