1. Kurukshetra
is called Dharmakshetra because the supreme personality of god head lord Krshna
was present there. Dhrtarshtra knew that his sons were evil and Kurukshetra
being a sacred place, they were unlikely to succeed there in their plans. But
he was not ready to compromise either. This is what happens when one is too
avaricious for his or her own good. God has decided to weed out the fields of
this planet so that only good may prevail.
