God is the refuge and strength of all. Meditation on god is the sword that severs the knots of the evil karma. With faith the desire to learn about god comes. And comes the desire to hear the word of god. Once this desire arises one starts taking pleasure in the word. And then all evil vanishes. With evil the impurities are washed away and the true love for god happens. Thus when this love occupies one’s mind man is free from the bondage of repeated births and deaths. He realizes the truth and knows the self. The wise always find joy in god.

KNOW YOURSELF

Even to listen about god and his pastimes is purifying. The highest religion of man is to think and talk about the lord and his unselfish love for god. Religion is an Inquiry about the truth. The knowers call it knowledge and the Vedas call it Brahman. The worshippers of Hiranyagarbha call it the universal spirit and others call it god.

KNOW YOURSELF

Men became holy by singing the praises of the lord. Fear does not approach them. By surrendering themselves to the lord the self controlled munis became so perfect that even those who were associated with them became holy.

KNOW YOURSELF

By following one’s innate qualities one will attain perfection. One who is conscious of god will cross all obstacles.

Surrender yourself to the lord and have no fear. He will help you cross the ocean of endless life and death.

KNOW YOURSELF

That which is like poison in the beginning but which tastes like nectar in the end is in the mode of goodness. That which is derived by contact of the senses is passionate. It tastes like nectar in the beginning but becomes poison gradually is in the mode of passion. And that which is blind to self realization and is bitter right from the beginning is in the mode of ignorance.

KNOW YOURSELF

The knowledge by which the undivided spiritual nature is seen everywhere is in the goodness mode. The knowledge by which a separate living entities are seen by one, is in the passion mode. And where the doer is unaware of the universal truth is in ignorance.

KNOW YOURSELF

To give up the results of one’s activities is called renunciation. A person who does this is called Renunciant. Prescribed duties should never be renounced. Those in the mode of goodness are attached to auspicious work. The human being should never think himself as the doer. Knowledge, the object of knowledge and the knower are the three factors which motivate action.
