God knows what sort of devotion suits the devotee
according to his/her nature and position. There are five broad forms of
devotion namely:
Saintly love- Where the devotee just writes and
chants
hymns
in praise of the lord and worships him.
Parental love- Where
the devotee wants to have god as
his/her
child.
Friendly love- Where the devotee wants god as a
friend.
Servant of god- Where
the devotee wants to act as a
slave
of god and do his bidding.
Conjugal love- Where
the devotee wants god as a lover.
Remember that this type of total surrender to god
in any of the above forms suitable to him/her will lead one to ultimate union
with god.
