Acharya Krip was in a catch 22 situation. He and his sister Kripi were born orphans. Despite being born in a Brahmin family, they were brought up by King Shantanu a Kshatriya.

When the two came to age Kripi got married to Acharya Dron. Thus began Acharya Krip’s contact with Acharya Dron who was totally materialistic.
