In spiritualism it has been perpetually hinted that the devotee should be alone to meditate. ‘Alone in a crowd’ is the adage often used while discussing total surrender to god, or devotion to god.

This actually means that the almighty wants the devotee to be singularly focused towards god & self realization which ultimately leads to deliverance & liberation.
