Spiritualism

When he/she uses the soul as the main source of his/her endeavor, the development of the causal, subtle and gross bodies becomes just a byproduct. Remember that all three layers being causal/subtle and gross bodies are material and transient. First the gross, then the subtle and finally the causal body will wither away after death. Before this finally happens one should realize the self and reach the spiritual world.
