According to Swami Vivekananda one should allow the idea of self realization germinate in the causal body of intelligence.

Once this idea takes a form, one should slowly but surely get addicted to the idea and start living it. Every pore of the soul, causal body, subtle body and the gross body should be illuminated by this idea.
