Raja Dasharath, Kausalya, Kekai, Sumitra not only gave birth to lord Rama, but also brought him up lovingly.

Mary & Joseph enjoyed parental pleasure as Jesus’ mother & father.

Servant of God is one who offers his/her services for God. In other words he/she offers to work for God and shows his/her willingness to take up any assignment for the sake of God.

Lord Hanuman the monkey God is the best example of this form of devotion.

Chaitnya Mahaprabhu, Tyagaraja, Purandara Dasa, Tulsidas, etc. belong to this category.

Similarly Sufi poets in Islam, & those who composed or continue to compose hymns in Christianity belong to this category.

Further it is addictive. Swami Pranabananda the saint with two bodies found it (to meditate all night & work all morning), so strenuous that he chose to quit his job, and concentrate on meditation.
