It is said that the society is ruled by such people. Yet they remain aloof & alone & the true among them do not mix with humanity.

But here the reason is different. These people acquire such clairvoyant powers thanks to their meditation and focus that they are perpetually scared that they may inadvertently drop their guard in front of humanity and as a result the weak humans may get hurt from the heat that these monks generate.

Demigods have either super ego that is they feel that they are a part & parcel of the super soul/supreme whole, or they have ego that is they are the soul an eternal spark of the supreme whole.

Because the demigods & God are so powerful, they remain aloof and do not mix with common mankind which may begin taking them for granted if they mix with the multitude. This is despite the fact that the demigods & God have the best interests for humanity, at heart.

Lord Siva drank the deadly poison HALAHALA lest it may torment other living entities.

Both the positive & negative energies are creations of God. It is another matter that the former is more conducive to self realization but yet God cannot ignore the negative side.

Demons are also created as per God’s laws but because they torment the saintly, God has to be dispassionate enough to subdue them for common good.

It requires a lot of inner spiritual maturity & spiritual  strength to qualify as a wise man/woman, monk, saint, sage, even an angel let alone be a demigod/goddess.

The cunning demons exploit the demigods & God to the full by taking up rigorous bodily penances, alarming God with these & extracting unimaginable and unjustified boons from them.

However nemesis is always ready to strike them when it feels that they have crossed their limits. And that is precisely the reason why they are never ultimately victorious and demigods continue to serve mankind.

Demigods are epitomes of positive energy gone spiritual. They become demigods only after they have proved their worth as servants of God & he/she has acknowledged this.

Demigods are representatives of God like- sun god, moon god, rain god, etc. who provide various services to his/her off springs like, plants, trees, animals, reptiles, aquatics, humans etc. They are not supposed to discriminate against anyone in providing their services regardless of their personal opinion about that entity.

Similarly God has to satisfy even the demons knowing full well that they represent the negative energy and hence pose a perpetual threat to all including demigods & humans.
